WHAT OTHERS SAY
One of the biggest needs for a church planter is handling the business aspects of birthing a church. However, it is usually one thing about which the planter knows the least. Phil’s expertise in operations and organization is the answer to this need. Anyone planting a church that needs help on the business side of the ledger should do themselves a favor and contact Phil! He’s been a huge help to several of our EPC church plants.
Dr. Tom Ricks EPC National Church Planting Team Leader Phil has been instrumental in helping our church establish core policies, create financial accountability and transparency, and ensure that we will have the tools necessary to succeed for years to come. Personally, Phil has been an encouragement, collaborator, problem solver, mentor and friend as I've worked to be the best I can be in my role. 10/10 recommend! Stephen Copeland, Director of Ministry Operations The Avenue Community Church (EPC) Memphis, TN |
A church’s calling is Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry and Mission, about which pastors receive instruction in how to lead while in seminary. However, very little training is provided in how to establish a church’s infrastructure that manages these biblical functions in a God-honoring way. Therefore, Phil's ministry is very valuable to help guide church planters and pastors of existing churches in developing or improving the organizational systems that empower the church’s essential purposes.
Philip D. Douglass, PhD Professor Emeritus of Applied Theology, Covenant Theological Seminary Director of Church Planting, Growth and Renewal, Missouri Presbytery of the PCA Phil brings to the table an important mix of gifts, contextual experience and a passion for the work of a church and the cohesive ministry functions of a staff and volunteers. In the process of planting two churches I found the skills and knowledge that Phil provides are necessary for the smooth running of the new church and that freed me to spend my time doing the things I am gifted and called to. Rev. Mark Kuiper, Pastor (PCA) Three Rivers Presbyterian Church Grove, OK |
Phil was absolutely instrumental as our localization process moved forward. He allowed me to focus on what God has called me to do while he has done what God has called him to do. As a result, God has been and will continue to be glorified.
Rev. Brian Roskin River City Church (EPC) St. Charles, MO We selected Phil because he has what we considered to be the perfect combination of corporate strategic consulting and church understanding. He delivered and has been very valuable to Auxilio, helping us think through and implement structural reorganization so that we can scale more effectively. Phil continues to serve as a strategic advisor to our leadership team. Keith Moore (PCA church member) Senior Partner, Auxilio Phil continues to be an invaluable resource for a variety of church business and ministry questions. Our church has benefited from his Personnel Handbook template, Financial Policy template, Insurance Buyer’s Guide form, and more. In all of his work, Phil anticipates possible missteps and creates solutions to avoid these in order to help churches best serve the kingdom. I enjoy working with Phil and appreciate his wisdom and experience! Taylor Kuiper, Business Manager Greentree Community Church (EPC) Kirkwood, MO |
Phil has been incredibly helpful to help us in the process of particularization. He identified policies and different things we needed to do, that otherwise we would not have been able to accomplish in a timely manner. We could not have done it without Phil’s help.
